How Do I Create An Account and Use Teacher Notes?
Please click on "Contact Us" and send the info listed below if you would like to create a teacher account. The account will enable you to have a group where information that you create is either public or private. Students and/or parents can then create accounts and request that you approve their subscription to your group (class blog).
Send the following info:
Full name:
Email address:
School name:
Grade Level You Teach:
Specialized class you teach (if you teach a specific type of class):
The system will email you when it is setup. Hopefully it will email you a password that you can change once you login (see top middle link).
To create a sticky at the top of your blog/web page, just click on "Create Sticky". A sticky can contain classroom rules, an intro, or any info you want at the top.
To create a post (like a blog post), simply click on "Create Post". Newer posts go to the top of the list. Posts include clarifications on an assignment, a discussion item, or information for tests/classroom requirements. Posts can contain discussions but it requires students/parents to have an account.
To create a calendar item, click on "Create Calendar". This adds an item to the calendar that you can access from the tab at the top of your blog area. Calendar items can include assignment deadlines, test dates, or field trips.
You can invite students/parents to the site by clicking on "invite". People can also create an account and then request that they be approved to your blog area.
Be careful, the site is visible to the public so please keep the language clean, the information relevant, and the learning going.
